Provision Labs: Advancing AI through Real World Data Collection

Provision Labs, initiated by Anjali Sardana, founder of the instant household services startup Pronto, has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) venture in the US. This initiative aims to gather real world data essential for training and assessing AI systems that can operate robots and various machines.

Focus on Collaboration with AI Developers

As reported by the Economic Times, Provision Labs will collaborate with developers focused on creating AI models for robotics and other practical applications. According to the Provision Labs website, the venture enjoys support from prominent investors, including Lachy Groom, Glade Brook, General Catalyst, and Bain Capital Ventures (BCV). Notably, all four investors are also associated with Pronto.

Enhancing AI Training through Wearable Cameras

This development aligns with Pronto’s efforts to broaden the use of wearable cameras within customer homes to collect data for AI training. In July 2026, the home services platform affirmed its commitment to expanding this initiative through Pronto Verified, an opt-in service that records service sessions while utilising anonymised footage for AI education.

Complementing AI System Development

The emphasis of Provision Labs on the collection of real world data could significantly benefit Pronto’s efforts by providing essential support for the engineering and validation of AI systems aimed at handling physical tasks.

Recent Funding Highlights

In May 2026, Pronto increased its Series B funding round to $45 million, following a new investment of $20 million from Lachy Groom. The funding round evaluated the company at $200 million, effectively doubling its valuation in the span of a month. Previously, the startup had completed the first tranche of the Series B round, amounting to $25 million. To date, the company has successfully raised approximately $60 million.
