Leverage Edu Expands Focus on AI and Customer Experience

Leverage Edu is set to enhance its focus on artificial intelligence (AI), customer experience, and marketing effectiveness as it ventures into new markets, according to founder Akshay Chaturvedi. In a recent post on X, following a report from Startup Superb regarding the company’s FY26 financial performance, Chaturvedi explained key priorities such as adopting technology, forming university partnerships, managing cash flow, and initiating new go-to-market (GTM) strategies.

Market Expansion and Customer Acquisition

Chaturvedi noted that entering less competitive international markets has enabled the company to reach new destinations. Improved brand visibility and customer referrals have also led to a reduction in customer acquisition costs (CAC), although local competitors still maintain an edge in several areas.

AI Integration into Operations

The company plans to broaden the use of AI throughout its operations. Chaturvedi mentioned that their AI suite, known as LE-AI, has begun to play a role in various business functions. Leverage Edu has implemented AI-driven analysis after counselling sessions to assist coaches in enhancing their performance, and this technology is being extended to benefit consumers and partners as well.

Growth in Financial Services

Chaturvedi pointed out that an increased adoption of financial services, housing, insurance, and other offerings has positively influenced customer lifetime value (LTV) and net promoter score (NPS). Leverage Edu’s operating revenue surged more than double, reaching Rs 364.4 crore in FY26, up from Rs 173.3 crore in FY25. The company also saw its net loss decrease by 82% to Rs 19.4 crore, with EBITDA turning positive at Rs 2 crore.

Revenue Breakdown

International markets accounted for Rs 297 crore, representing over 81% of the total revenue, while domestic revenue increased by 60% to Rs 67.4 crore. Established in 2017, Leverage Edu supports students in navigating overseas university admissions and education financing. The company has successfully raised nearly $90 million to date, including a $40 million Series C funding round led by Blume Ventures and DSG Consumer Partners in 2023.
