Coca-Cola Brand Refresh: A New Global Visual Identity

The Coca-Cola brand has launched a new global visual identity system designed to deliver a more cohesive brand experience across various international markets. This updated identity will be implemented throughout Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, influencing packaging, retail spaces, equipment, and digital platforms.

Key Features of the Coca-Cola Refresh

The revamped design highlights Coca-Cola’s established brand elements, particularly its iconic red-and-white colour scheme, the Dynamic Ribbon, Arden Square, and the distinctive Spencerian script. Additionally, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will sport a new look, incorporating larger “Zero Sugar” typography, a black Dynamic Ribbon on cans, and black bottle tops on PET packaging.

Quote from Coca-Cola Leadership

Agnab Roy, who is the president of Coca-Cola Global Category, stated that this refresh aims to enhance brand consistency while reinforcing the company’s established identity. He mentioned that the strategy is focused on leveraging elements that consumers already recognise and appreciate, thereby creating a solid foundation for future growth while maintaining the unmistakable essence of Coca-Cola.

Supporting Tools for Brand Consistency

To accompany this launch, Coca-Cola has introduced an updated Brand Center and Design Intelligence tools for their internal marketing and design teams, along with external agency partners. These resources are intended to ensure brand governance and uniformity across different markets.
