Marico Increases Stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals for Enhanced Growth
Marico, a prominent player in the FMCG sector, has secured an additional 24.09% stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals, the parent entity of the plant-based nutrition and personal care brand Plix, for Rs 1,012.03 Cr. This move elevates Marico’s ownership in Satiya Nutraceuticals from 60% to 84.09% on a fully diluted basis. The completion of this acquisition took place on October 5.
Details of the Acquisition
Previously, Marico acquired a 60% interest in Satiya Nutraceuticals through prior agreements and held the right to obtain the remaining 40% stake. In this latest development, Marico has formalised agreements to acquire a total of 38.18% from the founders and other shareholders. The remaining 14.09% is anticipated to be acquired in July 2027, contingent on the agreements’ terms.
Future Acquisitions and Consideration
The future acquisition will be subject to a price yet to be determined, which will include a base sum of up to Rs 592 Cr along with additional considerations linked to milestones and other stipulations. Following this latest stake acquisition, Marico’s total investment for its 84.09% share in Satiya Nutraceuticals amounts to Rs 1,392.07 Cr, with the transaction being conducted in cash.

In 2026, Marico also acquired 4700BC and Cosmix, thereby expanding its portfolio to include healthy snacking and plant-based nutrition brands.
