MoEngage Enhances Customer Engagement Through Acquisition of Aampe

Customer engagement platform MoEngage has expanded its offerings by acquiring Aampe, an AI startup located in San Francisco, for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition follows the company’s successful fundraising efforts, having raised an additional $180 million in its Series F round, with contributions from ChrysCapital, Dragon Funds, and Schroders Capital. Earlier in November 2025, MoEngage had secured $100 million, bringing the total raised in Series F to $280 million.

About Aampe and Its Innovations

Established in 2020, Aampe focuses on developing AI systems that provide each user with a dedicated autonomous agent. This technology allows for tailored decisions regarding content, timing, channel, and the frequency of messaging. Supported by Peak XV and Z47, Aampe has accumulated $27 million in total funding, including $18 million from a Series A round led by Theory Ventures in December 2024.

Integration of Aampe’s Technology into MoEngage

Through this acquisition, MoEngage will incorporate Aampe’s advanced reinforcement learning and decision-making capabilities into its customer engagement platform. The company has stated that this will enable brands to achieve one-to-one personalization on a larger scale.

Aampe’s Key Personnel Join MoEngage

As part of the acquisition agreement, Aampe’s founders, including Paul Meinshausen, Schaun Wheeler, and Sami Abboud, will join the MoEngage team to spearhead its agentic decision-making initiatives.

Aampe’s Clientele and Capabilities

Aampe currently collaborates with notable brands such as Grab, Swiggy, ZenBusiness, and Taxfix. Its platform operates hundreds of millions of AI agents and handles over 200 billion decisions weekly. MoEngage has assured that existing Aampe clients will continue to receive support and can access enhanced engineering and data science resources.

MoEngage’s Global Presence

Founded by Raviteja Dodda and Yashwanth Kumar, MoEngage serves more than 1,350 brands around the world, including prominent names like Flipkart, Swiggy, Airtel, Domino’s, and Policybazaar. The acquisition further strengthens its AI capabilities via Merlin AI while advancing the company’s mission to create an agentic customer data and engagement platform.
