Nazara Technologies Expands Influence in Casual Gaming Through Major Acquisition
Nazara Technologies is enhancing its footprint in the casual gaming landscape by acquiring Bluetile Games S.L. and Bestplay Systems S.L. This strategic move aims to bolster Nazara’s presence in the global casual and social gaming sectors.
Details of the Acquisition
As a part of this transaction, Nazara will secure an initial 50% interest in both companies for $100.3 million (approximately Rs 918 crore), with $59.7 million to be paid at the closing of the deal and the balance within six months. Furthermore, Nazara has the opportunity to acquire the remaining shares by 2028, based on a valuation connected to 6.6x trailing EBITDA.
Performance-Linked Financials
The agreement also encompasses performance-driven earnouts of up to $98.2 million, slated to be disbursed between 2028 and 2030.

Bluetile showcases a rich selection of casual and social mobile games, covering diverse formats like puzzles and tile-based genres. Notable titles include Yatzy, Domino Legends, and Mahjong Voyage. With a robust portfolio, Bluetile boasts 17 active games, reaching 375 million downloads and maintaining 22 million monthly active users.
Bestplay’s Engagement Platform
Bestplay operates an engagement platform that focuses on rewarding users and facilitates user acquisition, retention, and cross-promotional strategies across mobile gaming platforms.
Projected Financial Performance
For the calendar year 2025, the combined activities are estimated to generate revenues of $153.6 million (about Rs 1,405 crore) and an EBITDA of $27.7 million (roughly Rs 254 crore).
