Redcliffe Labs Expands Its Diagnostic Network with Megavision Acquisition

Redcliffe Labs, a prominent omnichannel diagnostics provider, has successfully acquired Megavision Diagnostics Center, located in Pune, for around Rs 40 crore. This acquisition aims to enhance Redcliffe’s integrated diagnostics services by merging imaging and pathology under one platform.

Advanced Imaging Capabilities

Megavision Diagnostics operates two MRI-equipped facilities in Pune, thereby bolstering Redcliffe’s existing pathology network with advanced imaging capabilities. The company believes that this acquisition will facilitate broader access to an extensive range of diagnostic services through its established network.

Continuity of Care

As part of the transaction, Redcliffe will retain the entire workforce of Megavision, ensuring a seamless continuity of patient care and improved accessibility to diagnostic services in the local region.

Strategic Growth Through Partnerships

This acquisition is integral to Redcliffe’s strategy aimed at expanding its diagnostic network through various partnerships and acquisitions in key markets. Over the last year, the company has also acquired Prime Sonography & Diagnostic Center in Kota and Sarvodaya Diagnostics in Ajmer, both of which now function under the Redcliffe Medicentre Imaging & Labs brand.

Customer Base and Network Expansion

Redcliffe has served over 1 crore customers to date, operating across more than 220 cities with over 80 owned laboratories, covering over 4,000 pincodes. The company offers an extensive range of more than 3,600 diagnostic tests.

Trends in India’s Diagnostics Sector

This acquisition occurs against a backdrop of increasing consolidation within India’s diagnostics sector in 2026. Established diagnostic chains and genomics-focused enterprises are actively pursuing acquisitions to extend their geographic reach and enhance service capabilities.

In May, Dr Lal PathLabs acquired 100% of Mumbai-based Shahbazkers Diagnostic Centre for up to Rs 20 crore to expand its operations in Maharashtra. That same month, MedGenome acquired a majority stake in Mumbai-based Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre (SDRC). Additionally, Neuberg Diagnostics secured a controlling stake in Mumbai-based NM Medical, expanding its network to 18 centres across Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru. This deal notably increases Neuberg’s strength in pathology, radiology, and cardiology as the company gears up for a planned IPO.

Recent acquisitions illustrate a noteworthy transition in India’s diagnostics marketplace towards integrated platforms that cohesively combine pathology, radiology, imaging, genomics, and preventive healthcare. Larger diagnostic entities are increasingly utilising acquisitions to broaden their footprint in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
