Wingify Acquires Blitzllama: Enhancing User Insights with AI

Wingify, the parent organisation of the experimentation platform VWO, has successfully acquired AI-driven user insights startup Blitzllama in a cash transaction, though the amount remains undisclosed. Established in 2021, Blitzllama offers tools designed to assist product and growth teams in collecting and analysing user feedback in real time. Their platform enables companies to obtain in-product responses, examine qualitative data from surveys and support interactions, and utilise AI models to summarise themes and sentiments across extensive datasets.

Integration with VWO Platform

Following the acquisition, the functionalities of Blitzllama will be integrated into the VWO platform. Current Blitzllama customers will transition to VWO, ensuring they maintain access to their data and continued support. Wingify stated that this integration will facilitate teams in connecting behavioural information from experiments with immediate user feedback, thereby assisting them in understanding not merely the actions of users but also the rationale behind those actions.

Blitzllama’s Background

Blitzllama was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2022 batch and has secured early funding from 2am VC and other investors focused on SaaS ventures. The startup has collaborated with digital-first enterprises within the fintech and retail sectors.

Wingify’s Expansion in the Global SaaS Market

This acquisition occurs as Wingify continues to expand its global SaaS operations. The company has reported that its annual recurring revenue is nearing $60 million (Rs 540 crore), primarily driven by enterprise clients outside India.

Additionally, this development happens almost a year after Wingify was acquired by the Singapore-based private equity firm Everstone. Although the effects of Wingify’s acquisition by Everstone will only become apparent when the SaaS company releases its FY26 financial data, it’s noted that the company experienced a drop of over 60% in profit for FY25, attributed to an 88% rise in employee benefit costs. However, revenue witnessed growth of 34%, reaching Rs 386 crore in the last fiscal year.
