Private equity firm Actis has sold a 0.86% stake in the fintech unicorn Pine Labs through a bulk transaction amounting to Rs 151.6 crore, as indicated by exchange data. This transaction was carried out via Actis Pine Labs Investment Holdings Limited, which offloaded 98.28 lakh shares of Pine Labs at a price of Rs 154.25 each, resulting in a total of Rs 151.6 crore.

Details of the Transaction

Considering the company’s outstanding share capital of 1.14 billion shares, this sale represents a 0.86% stake in Pine Labs. By March 2026, Actis, through its investment vehicle, possessed a 4.58% stake in the firm. Previously, the private equity firm took a leading role in an $82 million funding round for Pine Labs in March 2018, elevating the company’s valuation to nearly $1 billion.

Impact of the Transaction

This recent transaction signifies a slight reduction in Actis’s holdings within Pine Labs. For the fourth quarter of FY26, the company announced a 17% year-on-year increase in revenue, rising to Rs 700.5 crore from Rs 598.6 crore in Q4 FY25. Notably, Pine Labs achieved profitability during this period, demonstrating solid growth and effective cost management, culminating in a net profit of Rs 59.4 crore, contrasting with a loss of Rs 28.9 crore from the previous year.

At the conclusion of Friday’s trading session, shares of Pine Labs settled at Rs 152.7, which positioned the company’s total market capitalisation at Rs 17,534 crore (approximately $1.84 billion).
