Agrifeeder Secures FDA Certification for Global Export
Agrifeeder, the agri-tech startup backed by Neetu Chandra, has obtained US FDA certification, enabling the export of agricultural products sourced directly from farmers in Bihar. This certification signifies Agrifeeder’s official entry into the international market, as the company aims to establish value-added brands derived from regional produce. The announcement was made during an event in Delhi, where the firm launched its global brand identity, Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra, under which all international products will be marketed.
About Agrifeeder and Its Founders
Founded in 2017 by Priya Pandey, Raman Kumar, Raunak Kumar, and Neetu Chandra, Agrifeeder operates an agri-commerce platform directly connecting with farmers across Bihar. This startup is dedicated to enhancing farm incomes by facilitating market access, branding, packaging, and integrated supply-chain solutions, enabling value addition through quality standardisation and traceability.
Addressing Farmers’ Challenges
The company’s model effectively addresses the structural challenges that small and marginal farmers encounter, such as limited market access, price fluctuations, and dependency on intermediaries. With a strategy focused on Bihar and a growing global presence, Agrifeeder is positioning itself as a sustainable, export-driven platform that prioritises farmer empowerment and regional excellence.
Neetu Chandra’s Commitment
During the event, Neetu Chandra, co-founder of Agrifeeder, remarked on the significance of branding, stating that her name on the packaging signifies a commitment to quality, sourcing, and the livelihoods tied to every product. As Agrifeeder ventures into global markets, this brand embodies trust, traceability, and the conviction that produce from Bihar can compete on an international level.
Community Engagement Initiatives
As part of its ongoing community support initiatives, Agrifeeder has adopted several villages to bolster livelihoods, create local employment opportunities, and promote agricultural development. Agrifeeder’s diverse product range features lemongrass herbal tea, chanasattu, chanasattu combined with moringa powder mix, chanasattu with wheatgrass powder mix, raw honey, Jardalu mango, Katarni rice and poha, jaggery maize, and additional indigenous agricultural products from Bihar.
Supporting Farmers in Bihar
Agrifeeder claims to collaborate with a network of over 50,000 farmers throughout the state, assisting them through direct market links, branding, packaging, and supply-chain coordination. The goal is to help farmers achieve incomes that are up to ten times higher by transitioning from traditional commodity sales to value-driven, export-ready markets.
