Agrizy Appoints Markish Arun as Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Agrizy, a B2B agri processing platform, has announced the elevation of Markish Arun to the position of Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. This decision solidifies a role he has been effectively managing since the inception of the company. He will spearhead the next chapter of the company’s growth, concentrating on advancing its technological capabilities on a global scale.
Markish Arun’s Expertise and Experience in Technology
With over 25 years dedicated to building and scaling technology platforms, Markish possesses a wealth of experience relevant to Agrizy’s strategic goals. His background includes three successful tenures as Co-founder and CTO in ventures focused on small and medium-sized businesses. Since taking on the position of Head of Engineering and Products, he has directed the creation of Agrizy’s core technology and AI stack. This includes developing the initial product roadmap for 2022 and founding the Agrizy AI intelligence platform, which drives new product innovations.
Markish’s Expanded Role and Responsibilities
In his new capacity, Markish will manage Agrizy’s technology and AI strategy. His responsibilities will encompass scaling the company’s intelligence layer, constructing decision support platforms as significant intellectual property, and devising solutions for globally traceable supply chains alongside technology-driven quality assurance.
Markish Arun’s Entrepreneurial Journey
A seasoned entrepreneur, Markish previously co-founded MagicRooms, which was later acquired by Yatra. He has also held senior roles at GoIbibo as Vice President of Engineering, Zoomcar as Chief Technology Officer, and SAP Labs.
Agrizy’s Mission and Services
Founded in 2020 by Vicky Dodani and Saket Chirania, Agrizy aims to deliver tailored solutions for the processed agri-food value chain. The platform empowers processors to obtain pre-processed and semi-processed products, underpinned by integrated services that include quality assurance, logistics, and payment processing.
