Akumentis Healthcare has demonstrated steady revenue growth in recent fiscal years, with its operating revenue escalating from Rs 398 crore in FY24 to Rs 446 crore in FY26. The company has maintained profitability, showcasing a moderate upward trend in net profit.

Operational Revenue and Business Portfolio

According to its annual standalone financial documents acquired from the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Akumentis’ operational revenue climbed to Rs 446 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 434 crore in FY25. Located in Thane, the company promotes over 167 branded prescription products that cover various therapeutic sectors such as gynecology, cardiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and dermatology. The income generated from pharmaceutical products is the company’s exclusive operational revenue source.

Income Overview

The company recorded Rs 17.3 crore in other income, primarily derived from interest on deposits, which raised its total income to Rs 464 crore in FY26, relative to Rs 449 crore in FY25.

Expenditure Analysis

Employee benefits remained the most significant expense for the company, decreasing to Rs 130 crore in FY26. The cost of materials consumed was Rs 115 crore, accompanied by advertising expenses, which amounted to Rs 37 crore. Travelling expenses and legal and professional fees were reported at Rs 28 crore and Rs 23 crore, respectively. Consequently, total expenditure saw a slight decline, decreasing from Rs 362 crore in the previous fiscal year to Rs 360 crore in FY26.

Profit and Financial Ratios

Akumentis’ profit rose to Rs 77 crore in FY26, up from Rs 66 crore in FY25. The company’s Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) margins stood at 39.21% and 20.14%, respectively. It is important to note that the calculations for net profit have excluded the exceptional expense of Rs 63 crore related to loan impairments, allowing for a clearer picture of the company’s financial health.

Cost Efficiency and Assets

On a per unit basis, Akumentis incurred Re 0.81 to generate every rupee of operating revenue in FY26. As of March 2026, the company reported current assets valued at Rs 271 crore, which included Rs 199 crore in cash and bank balances.

Funding and Financial Developments

To date, Akumentis has secured a total funding of $19 million, with Peak XV Partners being its largest external investor. Recently, AKUM Drugs, along with its subsidiary Akumentis Healthcare, received an income tax demand notice amounting to Rs 134 crore.
