Alive App Raises $1 Million for Experience-Tech Platform

Alive App, an experience-tech platform powered by AI, has successfully secured $1 million in a seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures, with Flipkart Ventures also participating. The Bengaluru-based startup had previously raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures last year. According to Alive App, the new funds will be utilised to enhance its product offerings and experience supply, aiming to promote more frequent leisure and experience-based activities among urban consumers.

Established in 2023 by Vivek Kumar, Alive App assists users in discovering curated experiences spanning adventure, food, wellness, art, culture, and learning. The startup is focused on developing technology and infrastructure for India’s experience economy.

Currently, Alive App operates in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and Goa, providing over 500 experiences through a network of more than 400 creators and partners. The company aims for a threefold increase in revenue over the coming months and is concentrating on boosting user engagement on its platform.

The startup recently announced that it achieved its first profitable quarter in Bengaluru, which is its primary market. Over the last six months, it has extended its operations to Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi, while continuing to maintain its presence in Goa. The growth rate of its experience supply in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, and Goa has been five times quicker compared to the initial expansion phase. Currently, Alive App is adding approximately 100 new experiences each month.

Experience-tech platforms are leveraging technology to aggregate and curate experiences across various categories as there is an increasing demand for discovery and experiential consumption among urban populations. In this sector, Bucketlistt secured Rs 1.07 crore in pre-seed funding in June of this year to develop a curated marketplace for verified experiences, including adventure, cultural, and immersive activities. Urbanaut provides curated city experiences, events, workshops, culinary pop-ups, and wellness and cultural activities, while the experiential travel brand WanderOn raised Rs 54 crore in Series A funding in 2026.
