Arya.ag Raises Rs 725 crore to Support Indian Farmers and Agriculture

New Delhi-based agritech company Arya.ag has successfully raised Rs 725 crore (approximately $80.3 million) during its Series D funding round led by GEF Capital Partners. Recently, Startup Superb had reported that GEF Capital was taking the lead in this funding round for Arya.ag. Over the last year, Arya.ag has undertaken two fundraising initiatives. In July 2025, the firm secured $29 million in an equity round, while Arya.ag’s agri-commerce division, Aryatech, garnered a commitment of $19.8 million from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) for a debt facility guarantee.

Utilisation of Funds for Farmers and Technology

The newly acquired funds will aid in enhancing Arya.ag’s outreach to farmers and farmer producer organisations (FPOs). It will also focus on expanding initiatives related to climate-smart agriculture and fortifying its technology-driven solutions across the post-harvest supply chain. Furthermore, the company intends to utilise these funds to mitigate farm-gate and supply-chain losses, whilst also increasing access to finance and market connections for smallholder farmers.

Arya.ag Overview and Services

Established in 2013 by Prasanna Rao, Anand Chandra, and Chattanathan Devarajan, Arya.ag operates an integrated grain commerce platform that encompasses pre-harvest advisory, storage, finance, and trade. This business model enables farmers to choose when and where to market their produce, supported by comprehensive farm-level data, warehousing services, and credit availability.

Arya.ag manages a network of Smart Farm Centres offering various services, including agricultural storage, instant financing, and clear market access. The platform currently operates in 60% of Indian districts, boasting a network of 12,000 agri-warehouses. It oversees nearly $3 billion worth of grain each year and facilitates over $1.5 billion in agricultural loans.

For the fiscal year concluding in March 2025, Arya.ag reported revenue of Rs 447 crore, while profits surged 70% year-on-year. The company also indicated a profit of Rs 32 crore in the first half of FY26.
