Atomberg Technologies Prepares for IPO

Atomberg Technologies is a consumer appliance startup getting ready to go public. As per their filings, shareholders have given the green light for a plan to raise up to Rs 450 crore through a new issue of equity shares. In addition, the company aims to raise as much as Rs 90 crore through a pre-IPO placement before submitting its red herring prospectus to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), as mentioned in documents lodged with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

Recent Approvals and Plans

The necessary approvals were granted during Atomberg’s extraordinary general meeting held on August 12, 2026. The company aims to list its equity shares on one or more recognised stock exchanges and plans to proceed with the IPO at a suitable time. This timing will depend on consultations with its book-running lead managers and other advisors, contingent on regulatory permissions.

Details of the Fresh Issue

The approved fresh issue is set for an amount of up to Rs 450 crore. The company will determine the final issue price and price band in collaboration with its book-running lead managers. Additionally, there may be an offer for sale (OFS) from existing shareholders, although the filing does not state the dimensions of this offer.

Pre-IPO Placement Insights

A report from Moneycontrol in December 2025 highlighted that Atomberg had selected bankers for its Rs 2,000 crore IPO. For the pre-IPO segment, Atomberg has been authorised to issue up to 9 crore equity shares, aiming to raise an aggregate amount of up to Rs 90 crore from selected investors. This placement is expected to be finalised before filing the RHP.

It is crucial to note that the Rs 90 crore from the pre-IPO placement is not additional to the Rs 450 crore fresh issue. If it goes ahead, the total of the fresh issue will be decreased by the amount generated through the pre-IPO placement, respecting the minimum IPO size requirements.

Company Background

This July, Atomberg transitioned into a public company. Founded in 2012, Atomberg is well-known for its BLDC motor-driven ceiling fans and has broadened into various home appliances. Until now, Atomberg has raised over $150 million, including a $24 million round led by Temasek, along with contributions from co-founders Manoj Kumar Meena and Sibabrata Das.

During FY25, Atomberg surpassed Rs 1,000 crore in total income while reducing its net loss by 41% year-on-year to Rs 117.4 crore. The company is yet to report its annual results for FY26.
