Aurassure Secures Rs 25 Crore in Pre-Series A Funding for Climate Intelligence

Climate tech startup Aurassure has successfully raised Rs 25 crore, equivalent to around $3 million, in a pre-Series A funding round. This round was primarily led by Rainmatter, the investment branch of Zerodha, alongside contributions from Unicorn India Ventures. Additionally, Maithan Alloys Limited took part in this funding initiative.

Aurassure and Its Innovative Platform

Founded in 2022 by Akanksha Priyadarshini, Aurassure operates an advanced climate intelligence platform. This platform delivers real-time, hyperlocal environmental risk data aimed at both enterprises and public-sector entities. It integrates data sourced from street-level sensors, satellite information, and AI-driven models to monitor key parameters such as air quality, heat stress, rainfall, flooding, and wind patterns.

The funds obtained will be allocated towards international expansion, product development, and enhancing the company’s hardware manufacturing capabilities. Aurassure intends to focus on markets in Latin America, South Asia, and Africa, regions known for high climate volatility and a lack of dependable environmental data.

Recent Achievements and Future Plans

In the past year, Aurassure has established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Brazil and has successfully initiated deployments in over 100 cities throughout the country. Furthermore, pilot projects have commenced in Bangladesh. Within India, the startup claims to operate in 200 cities, supported by a network of more than 2,000 sensors.

Revenue Growth and Client Base Expansion

Aurassure reports a remarkable 150% year-on-year revenue growth since its last funding round in 2023. Its client base spans various sectors, including construction, insurance, healthcare, industrial operations, and infrastructure.

Future Deployment Goals

The startup is keen on increasing its sensor network, acquiring new enterprise clients, and further developing its climate analytics platform. Aurassure aims to achieve deployments across 1,000 cities in the next three years.
