BlueStone Jewellery and Lifestyle Sees Profitable Growth in Q1 FY27

BlueStone Jewellery and Lifestyle’s shares surged by 20% to reach Rs 732.45 on Tuesday as the company announced its third consecutive profitable quarter in Q1 FY27. This accomplishment has significantly boosted investor confidence.

Strong Financial Performance

The Bengaluru-based omnichannel jewellery retailer demonstrated a remarkable 49% year-on-year growth in operating revenue, reaching Rs 737 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 493 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Additionally, the company achieved a profit of Rs 6 crore during this quarter, a remarkable turnaround from a loss of Rs 35 crore in Q1 FY26.

Key Milestones in Recent Quarters

BlueStone reached a significant milestone in FY26, marking its first profitable quarter in Q3 FY26 with a profit of Rs 69 crore, followed by a profit of Rs 31 crore in Q4 FY26.

Improved Operating Performance

The company’s operating performance showed substantial enhancement during Q1 FY27. The reported EBITDA almost doubled to Rs 110 crore from Rs 57 crore a year ago, resulting in an EBITDA margin expansion to 15%.

Expansion of Retail Footprint

In Q1 FY27, BlueStone expanded its retail presence by adding 12 new stores, raising its total network to 352 stores across 139 cities. The company currently caters to over 12,660 PIN codes, with approximately half of its outlets located in Tier II and Tier III markets.

Investor Optimism

The substantial increase in BlueStone’s share price captures the optimism among investors regarding the company’s profitable growth trajectory, enhanced unit economics, strong same-store sales growth, and its ongoing expansion in both metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas.

Stock Market Performance

BlueStone, which was listed on the stock exchanges in August of last year, received a tempered response from investors upon debuting at Rs 510 per share, a 1.3% discount to its issue price of Rs 517. Since then, the stock has appreciated by more than 41%.
