Capillary Technologies has made headlines with its promoter entity, Capillary Technologies Pte Ltd, selling a 4.14% stake in the company through a bulk deal on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The entity offloaded 32.92 lakh shares at a share price of Rs 520.86 each, leading to a transaction valued at approximately Rs 171.50 crore. Before this sale, Capillary Technologies Pte Ltd had held a 48.92% stake in the firm.

Significant Revenue Growth for Capillary Technologies

This stake sale occurs shortly after Capillary Technologies reported a remarkable 42.6% year-on-year increase in operating revenue, reaching Rs 256.6 crore in Q1 FY27 compared to Rs 180 crore in Q1 FY26.

Challenges Encountered During the Quarter

Despite the impressive revenue growth, the company experienced losses in the same quarter due to a Rs 33.4 crore exceptional loss related to a cyber-enabled banking fraud at its subsidiary in the Czech Republic.

Founded in 2008 by Aneesh Reddy, Krishna Mehra, and Ajay Modani, Capillary Technologies provides cloud-native loyalty, CRM, and customer engagement solutions to over 465 brands across 53 nations. The firm’s clientele boasts notable names, including Tata Digital, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, and Abbott Laboratories.

Current Market Position

As of 11:30 PM today, shares of Capillary Technologies increased by 1% to Rs 526.8, resulting in a total market capitalisation of Rs 4,189 crore, approximately $441 million.
