CloudSEK Raises $19 Million for AI and Global Expansion
CloudSEK, a leading cybersecurity firm, has successfully secured $19 million in funding through its Series A2 and B1 rounds. Notable investors include MassMutual Ventures, Inflexor Ventures, Prana Ventures, Tenacity Ventures, and Commvault. Existing backers, such as the Meeran Family, StartupXSeed, Neon Fund, and Exfinity Ventures, also contributed significantly to this funding round.
The funds raised will be utilised for enhancing AI models, integrating platforms, and driving global expansion, with a particular focus on the US, which is its fastest-growing market. This funding comes after a hiatus of nearly three and a half years for the Bengaluru-based company, which had previously received $7 million in a Series A round led by MassMutual Ventures.
About CloudSEK
Founded in 2015 by Rahul Sasi, CloudSEK excels in delivering predictive threat intelligence. The company’s primary aim is to identify Initial Attack Vectors (IAVs), including leaked credentials and exposed APIs.
Innovative Approach to Threat Intelligence
Unlike traditional threat intelligence frameworks that concentrate on indicators of compromise following an attack, CloudSEK’s platform is engineered to pinpoint the earliest warning signs—such as leaked credentials, exposed APIs, and compromised vendors—well in advance of any incidents. Sasi described their approach as predictive rather than forensic.
International Growth and Positive Cash Flow
Sasi noted that more than 60% of the company’s net new revenue is now sourced from international markets, with the US positioning itself as the most rapidly growing region. He highlighted that the company has achieved this level of success while maintaining a positive cash flow.
Extensive Client Base
Currently, CloudSEK provides services to over 250 enterprises across various sectors, including banking, healthcare, and technology. The company has successfully tripled its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) over the past 24 months.
Future Funding Plans
CloudSEK’s strategy includes extending its Series B1 funding round into a B2 tranche, aiming to attract new investors and facilitate partial exits for early backers.
