CtrlB, a unified data platform, has successfully raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round led by Chiratae Ventures, with additional participation from Equirus, InnovateX Fund, Campus Fund, and Point One Capital. The funds will be allocated to enhance its unified diskless data lake platform, expedite research and development, file patents for its innovative indexing and compression techniques, and obtain SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications.
Expansion Plans for CtrlB
CtrlB aims to broaden its operations across India and the United States, while also planning to expand its workforce to between 50 and 60 employees. This recruitment will focus on specialists in distributed systems, DevOps, solution architecture, and sales. The company intends to strengthen its partnerships within the cloud and DevOps ecosystems and enhance customer success to facilitate quicker adoption by enterprises.
Innovation at CtrlB
Established in 2023 by Adarsh Srivastava, CtrlB integrates logs, metrics, traces, and security events into a cohesive observability engine that leverages cloud object storage. The platform features one-touch data ingestion, rapid indexing, and cost-efficient compression technology, aimed at decreasing storage expenses and enhancing telemetry retention.
Targeting Enterprise Customers
Over the next eighteen months, CtrlB plans to engage with more than fifty enterprise clients across sectors like logistics, fintech, ecommerce, and SaaS. The company is also looking to diversify into related markets, including Application Performance Management (APM) and log analytics.

CtrlB is preparing for a platform upgrade that will introduce a new user interface, dashboards, and a correlation engine. Additionally, the company is focusing on enhancing its cloud partnerships. The operational model of CtrlB is centred around decreasing observability costs while simultaneously boosting search and ingestion efficiency for engineering and security teams.
