CureMeAbroad Secures Funding to Expand Global Healthcare Solutions

CureMeAbroad, a leading global healthcare platform that assists patients in finding, verifying, and booking treatments at approved hospitals overseas, has successfully raised $1.1 million in a pre-seed funding round. This funding was spearheaded by SteerX Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on healthcare. Current investor AIRA also contributed to this funding round. Earlier in April, the Pune-based startup had secured $600K from investors including Roman Saini, Himanshu Ratnoo, Kunal Gupta, Devaiah Bopanna, Vikrant Potnis, and AIRA.

The newly acquired funds will facilitate the expansion of CureMeAbroad’s network of accredited hospitals, allow entry into new patient source markets, bolster its AI-driven technology, and enhance its operational and technological teams. Additionally, CureMeAbroad is aiming to broaden its offerings into non-elective medical specialties like orthopaedics and oncology while exploring the establishment of physical experience centres in important international markets.

About CureMeAbroad and Its Vision

CureMeAbroad was founded in June 2025 by Aditya Oza and Mikhail Bohra. The platform is designed to assist international patients in discovering and comparing hospitals, verifying healthcare providers, obtaining treatment estimates, and booking care across various locations. This healthcare-tech platform melds healthcare discovery with treatment planning, pricing transparency, and patient support.

Currently, CureMeAbroad attracts over 22,500 visitors each month and has established a hospital network spanning six countries. The startup has set an ambitious target of achieving $100 million in annual patient treatment bookings by FY2028, up from its existing run rate of $4.8 million. Its primary patient source markets include the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.

Competitive Landscape

CureMeAbroad is in competition with platforms like Bookimed, PlacidWay, The Medical Tourism Company, and Medical Departures. Another Indian platform, Vaidam Health, also assists international patients in finding hospitals and treatment options.

The Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) has awarded CureMeAbroad with a Medical Travel Facilitator Certification, enabling it to operate with a network of over 400 accredited hospitals across six different countries, reinforcing its commitment to quality and safety in medical tourism.
