Agritech Platform DeHaat Expands Services with Acquisition of NEERX
Agritech platform DeHaat has successfully acquired NEERX’s real-time soil and weather monitoring technology, though the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
This acquisition enables DeHaat to integrate NEERX’s advanced capabilities in satellite imagery and cloud-based analytics into its platform. Now, farmers utilizing DeHaat can benefit from real-time insights regarding soil and weather conditions via SHOOL sensors, enhancing their agricultural decision-making.
NEERX’s flagship product, SHOOL, is an ISRO-validated soil sensor designed to provide data that optimises irrigation, nutrient application, and overall crop productivity. This innovative system merges ground sensors with satellite data, offering updates that assist in managing crop health, resource utilization, and farm productivity.
Founded by Nikita and Harsh, NEERX will now collaborate closely with the DeHaat team to facilitate the deployment and scaling of this cutting-edge technology.
DeHaat boasts an extensive network that includes over 15,000 DeHaat Centres along with partnerships with more than 1,000 agribusiness institutions. Established in 2012, DeHaat provides a wide range of farming solutions, including advisory services, quality input delivery, and market linkages, operating across 12 states.
Continuing to enhance its digital agriculture ecosystem, DeHaat is committed to providing integrated, tech-driven services tailored for smallholder farmers. This partnership signifies a notable advancement towards the broader implementation of sensor-based intelligence in Indian agriculture.
Earlier this January, DeHaat executed an acquisition of AgriCentral from Olam Agri through a complete cash transaction.
