The Foundation and Mission of Digantara
Founded in December 2018 by Anirudh Sharma, Digantara focuses on space situational awareness by developing both space- and ground-based infrastructure aimed at ensuring safe and secure space operations. The platform offers data-driven orbital insights to governments, defence agencies, and various commercial stakeholders around the globe.
AIRA: The Integrated Platform
Its integrated platform, AIRA, merges sensing hardware, data processing, and analytics across both space and terrestrial systems, which enables efficient surveillance and threat monitoring. The infrastructure features the SCOT constellation designated for space surveillance, the ALBATROSS series intended for missile warning and tracking, and SKYGATE, a network consisting of ground-based sensors. These advanced systems are set for phased deployment spanning through 2026–27.
Global Operations and Future Expansion
Digantara currently operates across India, Singapore, and the United States, with plans to extend its reach into Europe by mid-2026, thereby enhancing its space and defence monitoring capabilities.
