Dr. Paws Secures Pre-Series A Funding for Expansion
Bengaluru-based veterinary clinic chain Dr. Paws has successfully raised Rs 29.3 crore ($3.5 million) in a pre-Series A funding round, which was led by Chiratae Ventures. The funding round also saw participation from existing investor Sauce, as well as venture debt from both Trifecta Capital and Stride Ventures. The funds will facilitate the growth of the clinic network in Bengaluru, where Dr. Paws aims to introduce nine new clinics by 2026. Additionally, Dr. Paws will venture into new markets such as Hyderabad and Pune. The company is also set to launch at-home veterinary services and private-label offerings across treats, supplements, and pet food.

Founded by Udit Gadkary and Rakesh Santhapur, Dr. Paws operates veterinary clinics that specialise in consultations, surgeries, diagnostics, and preventive care. Currently, the firm manages three 24×7 clinics in Bengaluru, with plans for two more clinics currently underway.
Achievements and Goals
Since its establishment, the company claims to have conducted over 30,000 appointments and performed more than 800 surgeries. Reports indicate that the clinics achieve operational profitability within five months of opening. Alongside its expansion, Dr. Paws is committed to investing in technology to enhance clinical workflows, customer management, and internal training. The organisation is also focused on strengthening its leadership team for both city-level and central operations.
