Key Leadership Changes at EaseMyTrip with Major Fundraise
EaseMyTrip, the online travel platform, has revealed important leadership shifts alongside a considerable fundraising initiative approved by its board. The company has appointed Sankalp Kaul as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), succeeding Naimish Sinha, who stepped down for personal reasons. Kaul brings over 18 years of expertise in facilitating digital transformation, ERP integrations, and extensive technology initiatives within the travel and tech industries.
Appointment of Manmeet Ahluwalia as Chief Marketing Officer
Additionally, the board has sanctioned the appointment of Manmeet Ahluwalia as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). With more than 20 years of experience, Ahluwalia has successfully led brand development and digital growth strategies, including managing the entry of Expedia into the Indian market and enhancing operations across various regions.
In the meantime, the EaseMyTrip board has granted approval for the issuance of 55.93 crore fully paid-up equity shares valued at Rs 514.06 crore on a preferential basis. The shares are set to be allotted in exchange for non-cash considerations, pending necessary approvals from shareholders and regulatory bodies. This issuance will be directed towards seven non-promoter investors, including Ashish Begwani, Sunil Jain, Dhankalash Distributors, Divyank Singhal, Levo Beauty, SSL Nirvana Grand Golf Developers, and Javaphile Hospitality.
Previous Leadership Changes
These recent changes follow prior leadership modifications when co-founder Prashant Pitti resigned as Managing Director in August 2025 to concentrate on mentoring startups and exploring other ventures. Following his departure, Nishant Pitti assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director, while Vikas Bansal was appointed as a whole-time Director.
