EcoEx: Sustainable Waste Management Solutions Achieve $4 Million in Seed Funding

Sustainable waste management solutions startup EcoEx has successfully raised $4 million in a seed funding round co-led by Dovetail Global Fund PCC, Navbharat Investment Fund, and Narnolia Velox Fund, along with contributions from various investors. The funds will be directed towards technology improvement, talent recruitment, expansion efforts, and reinforcing clean technology solutions as it develops its newly introduced Waste Commodity App, as announced in a press release.

About EcoEx and Its Offerings

Founded in 2020 by Nimit Aggarwal and Akshaya Rath, EcoEx provides expertise in waste management, waste commodity trading, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) services. The platform allows large waste producers and certified recyclers to engage in transactions that promote ethical disposal and adherence to regulatory requirements, employing tools like EPR Pro, a B2B E-marketplace, and mobile applications.

Future Projections and Achievements

Nimit Aggarwal, the founder and Director of EcoEx, stated that the company is poised to surpass $20 million in transaction value during the fiscal year 25–26, thereby transforming waste into both environmental and economic prospects. Since its launch, EcoEx claims to have facilitated over 1 million metric tonnes of EPR credits for Producers of Industrial By-Products (PIBOs) through certified recyclers recognized by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Innovative Features of the EcoEx App

The EcoEx mobile application provides real-time tracking, secure digital payments, and e-auction functionalities, which enhance the efficiency of digital commodity trading. The app has successfully onboarded more than 3,000 recyclers or collectors throughout India.

Market Landscape

In the sustainable waste management sector, other significant players include Recykal and Recircle, both of which contribute to advancing recycling and waste management solutions.
