Dextr AI: Revolutionising Hospitality with AI Agents

Dextr AI: Leading the Way in Hospitality with AI Solutions

Dextr AI, the innovative platform focusing on AI agents for hospitality, has successfully secured $6.7 million in a seed funding round. This funding was spearheaded by Elevation Capital with contributions from Foundation Capital. The firm intends to utilise these funds to fast-track product development, enlarge its workforce, and broaden its reach in hospitality sectors worldwide, especially in India as highlighted in a recent press statement.

Overview of Dextr AI

Co-founded in July of the previous year by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI serves as an AI agent platform tailored for the hospitality industry. This platform deploys specialised AI agents designed to streamline workflows in guest experience, reservations, staff operations, sales, and marketing for numerous establishments, ranging from independent hotels and resorts to franchise locations.

Current Operations and Scale

Dextr AI is operational in various regions, including the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, with affiliated properties under major brands like Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western, and IHG. The platform manages over a million interactions each month, enabling voice-activated payment processing and facilitating tens of millions in transactions through telephone reservations for clients. Furthermore, its implementations have resulted in unparalleled booking conversion rates for payments collected via phone services.

Identifying and Addressing Industry Challenges

Dextr AI addresses significant issues such as missed calls, unanswered queries, unfilled shifts, and guest requests. Through the automation of these workflows, it empowers hotel teams to dedicate more time to guest interactions.

Insights from India

An analysis conducted by Dextr concerning contact centres in India revealed a missed call rate of approximately 42%. For hospitality providers, each missed call equates to a potential booking lost to online travel agents or competing establishments. The deployment of its reservation centre has demonstrated a return on investment ranging from 49 to 67 times by utilising a single voice implementation across various applications.

Introduction of Doss Gen 1

Moreover, Dextr AI is launching Doss Gen 1, an innovative command interface that allows staff members to interact with the AI workforce using simple language, whether through text or vocal instructions. Doss is equipped with role-based permissions, an audit trail, and consistent performance across the portfolio, meeting the needs of enterprise operators.
