Escape Plan Secures $25 Million in Series A Funding
Escape Plan, a prominent travel products platform, has successfully raised $25 million in a Series A funding round. The round was spearheaded by Jungle Ventures, with participation from Fireside Ventures and the strategic investor IndiGo Ventures, which is affiliated with IndiGo.
Based in Bengaluru, the startup previously garnered $5 million in a funding round led by Jungle Ventures via its First Cheque@Jungle initiative, alongside Fireside Ventures and numerous angel investors in July of the previous year.
Expansion Plans for Escape Plan
The newly acquired funds will be utilized to enhance the brand presence, pricing strategies, and distribution channels throughout India and in selected international markets. Escape Plan aims to bolster its omni-channel approach across metropolitan areas and tier I and tier II cities. Plans include expanding its retail presence to over 200 stores, thus increasing accessibility across key travel hubs and corridors, as stated in a recent press release.

Additionally, the company plans to venture into selected international markets aligned with outbound travel from India.

Escape Plan aspires to bolster its technological infrastructure to enhance control across its value chain. The investment will focus on developing core tech systems to improve speed, availability, and consistency across various channels, while simultaneously driving product innovation with a focus on design and sustainable materials.
The brand offers both in-house and partner-manufactured products through its own platform, competing with other direct-to-consumer brands such as Mokobara, Nasher Miles, Uppercase, and Acefour Accessories in the rapidly growing travel gear market in India.
