Smart Kitchen Technology: Beyond Appliances Secures Funding

Beyond Appliances, a company focused on smart kitchen technology and creating intelligent appliances for modern Indian households, has successfully raised Rs 110 crore ($11.4 million) in a Series B funding round led by Fireside Ventures. The round also saw participation from Dharana Capital and various other investors. The Bengaluru-based firm had previously raised $4 million in a Series A funding round facilitated by Fireside Ventures, with Dharana Capital also taking part, in August of the previous year. Moreover, in November 2024, the company secured $2 million during its seed round, again led by Fireside Ventures.

Investment Utilization for Growth

The funds will be directed towards research and development as well as the establishment of a new manufacturing facility. This is aimed at enhancing Beyond Appliances’ capacity to innovate and scale its next generation of kitchen appliances, as stated in a recent press release.

Founders and Company Background

Co-founded in 2024 by Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, Beyond Appliances represents a smart kitchen appliance brand that merges technology with practical functionality to create products that cater to the needs of contemporary homes.

Product Portfolio Expansion

Beyond Appliances has broadened its offerings to include Android chimneys, Plug-N-Play chimneys, smart hobs, and cooktops. The company is actively enhancing its presence throughout India and boosting consumer engagement as it continues to grow its operations.

Sales and Market Performance

The brand has reported strong sales driven by customer referrals, noting that 15% of its revenue is derived from these recommendations. Its flagship kitchen appliance range remains a substantial contributor to its overall revenue. Over the past year, the company has doubled its market share in the online marketplace, which indicates a significant rise in customer adoption through digital channels.

Offline Expansion Plans

Beyond Appliances operates via offline retail channels and experience centres located in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The company intends to extend its offline reach to an additional 10 cities within the next three years. During the same timeframe, it targets achieving an annual recurring revenue of Rs 500 crore while focusing on building an exclusive portfolio of kitchen appliances.

Industry Trends in Smart Kitchen Technology

Smart kitchen technology is carving out a niche in India’s consumer tech and home appliance startup landscape.
