Kisah, a brand specialising in ethnic wear for men and children, has initiated its Series A funding round, successfully raising Rs 35.9 crore (approximately $3.8 million) with Fireside Ventures at the helm, alongside contributions from various individual investors. As per a regulatory filing obtained by Startup Superb, Kisah’s board has approved a special resolution to issue 38,220 Series A preference shares at a price of Rs 9,393 each to achieve this funding.

Fireside Ventures is spearheading this funding round with an infusion of Rs 34 crore, which has already been completed, while the additional contributions from individual investors are anticipated to arrive shortly. MoneyControl initially reported this funding update.

Startup Superb estimates that Kisah’s valuation will reach approximately Rs 211 crore post-funding, marking a 70% increase from its pre-Series A valuation, when the brand secured Rs 13 crore (around $1.5 million) from Wow! Momo co-founder Sagar Daryani, supported by investors such as Apoorv Salarpuria, Rahul Todi, Vinod Dugar, and Inflection Point Ventures.

Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria, Kisah presents high-fashion ethnic wear targeted at Gen Z and millennials while maintaining reasonable price points. Originating with a marketplace-first strategy, the Kolkata-based brand is now transitioning into a comprehensive omnichannel enterprise.

Kisah has reported a significant year-on-year revenue growth of 65%, bringing its total revenue to Rs 41.8 crore in FY25, up from Rs 25.3 crore in FY24. Concurrently, the brand’s profits more than doubled, reaching Rs 2 crore in FY25.
