FirstCry, the leading omnichannel retailer owned by Brainbees Solutions, has achieved a 13% increase in revenue year-on-year and successfully reduced its losses for the quarter concluding in June 2025. The revenue from operations soared to Rs 1,862.56 crore in Q1 FY26, up from Rs 1,652 crore recorded in Q1 FY25, as revealed by the unaudited financial results provided by the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Revenue Breakdown for FirstCry

The majority of FirstCry’s revenue was derived from the sale of products through both offline and online channels, contributing approximately 77.55% to total operating revenue, while its subsidiary, GlobalBees, made a substantial contribution of Rs 426 crore. Additionally, the company earned Rs 49 crore from interest income, bringing its total revenue to Rs 1,911 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to Rs 1,679 crore in Q1 FY25.

Expenditure Insights

For this omnichannel retailer, the cost associated with procuring materials constituted 58% of overall expenses, which rose by 11% year-on-year to Rs 1,145 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 1,029 crore in Q1 FY25. FirstCry’s employee benefits amounted to Rs 203 crore in Q1 FY26, which includes an expense of Rs 60 crore related to ESOP. Marketing, legal fees, rent, and technology costs further elevated the total expenditure to Rs 1,971 crore in Q1 FY26.

Financial Performance Metrics

These factors combined to assist FirstCry in decreasing its losses by 13%, totaling Rs 66.5 crore in Q1 FY26. Notably, the company reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 75 crore. On a per-unit basis, FirstCry spent Rs 1.06 for every Rupee generated in operating revenue during Q1 FY26.
