Investment Focus of Ambition Capital

Located in Bengaluru, Ambition Capital intends to channel funds into seed and Series A startups across various sectors, including AI, fintech, deeptech, and consumer technology. The firm aims to execute approximately 26 to 30 investments from its inaugural fund. Additionally, Ambition Capital will concentrate on themes like digital sovereignty and innovation tailored for the Indian market, supporting startups that craft technologies for both domestic and international audiences.

Shailesh Lakhani brings over 17 years of investment experience from his tenure at Peak XV Partners, where he supported startups such as Minimalist, Ixigo, and Zetwerk. Furthermore, a cohort of other former Peak XV Partners executives, including Ashish Agrawal, Ishaan Mittal, and Tejeshwi Sharma, are also in the process of launching a new venture capital fund. In a similar vein, leaders who previously worked at Sequoia Capital India established A91 Partners in 2018, founded by ex-Sequoia Capital India partners Pranay Chulet, Gautam Mago, and Abhay Pandey.
