Frinks AI, a pioneering deep-tech startup dedicated to visual inspection and quality control in manufacturing, has successfully garnered $5.4 million in its pre-Series A funding round, which was spearheaded by Prime Venture Partners. Existing backer Chiratae Ventures, along with Navam Capital and Ashok Atluri, the founder of Zen Technologies, also made contributions. With this latest funding, the total investment amassed by the startup now stands at $6.25 million.

The Frinks AI platform is actively operational across 1,000 production lines within various sectors, including automotive, consumer goods, building materials, and medical devices. The funding obtained will be channelled towards expanding into international markets, particularly targeting the U.S., while also enhancing research and development initiatives.

Frinks AI is considering collaborations with automation firms and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to amplify its shared go-to-market strategy.

The startup enjoys the support of prominent strategic investors, including S Ramadorai, former CEO of TCS, Dr. V Sumantran, formerly with Tata Motors, Dr. Tarun Ramadorai, and Dr. Gopichand Katragadda, who previously served as CTO of Tata Sons.
