GIVA’s Funding Round: £100 Million Investment in Fine Jewellery

GIVA has attracted a funding round exceeding $100 million, led by Multiples Alternate Asset Management and its co-investors. This substantial investment aims to support the company’s retail expansion, enhance its manufacturing capabilities, and boost its omnichannel presence. The brand intends to grow its retail footprint to more than 1,000 outlets within the next three to five years, as stated in a recent press release.

Earlier in May, GIVA procured $28 million in debt, which may contribute to the current funding round. The development was reported exclusively by Startup Superb. Established in 2019 by Ishendra Agarwal, GIVA provides a diverse range of jewellery, including offerings made from sterling silver, gold, and lab-grown diamonds. The company sells its products through its own retail locations, direct-to-consumer (D2C) website, and various third-party e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.

GIVA’s Retail Expansion and Growth

Currently, GIVA operates more than 400 stores throughout India and Sri Lanka, targeting both Tier I and Tier II markets. The company has reported an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 70% over the past three years, culminating in revenues nearing Rs 865 crore for the fiscal year ending FY26. The newly acquired funds will be used to fortify its leadership team, increase manufacturing capabilities, and expand its offline market presence.

Previous Funding and Financial Performance

GIVA has successfully raised a total of over $258 million to date, which includes Rs 110 crore (approximately $12 million) from a Series C extension round led by HPV CC1 Ltd earlier this year. Although GIVA has not yet submitted its FY26 financial reports, the company’s operating revenue experienced an 89% year-on-year increase, reaching Rs 518 crore in FY25. However, losses during the same fiscal period increased by 22%, amounting to Rs 72 crore.

In the competitive landscape, GIVA faces challenges from established jewellery brands including BlueStone, CaratLane, Melorra, Candere, and Tanishq. Newer entrants such as Palmonas, Jewelbox, Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds, Fiona Diamonds, and Firefly Diamonds also represent significant competition.
