HairOriginals Secures $5 Million in Series A Funding

The direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand HairOriginals, which specializes in hair extensions and wigs, has successfully raised $5 million (Rs 43.5 crore) in its Series A funding round. This round was co-led by Anicut Growth Fund and 12 Flags Consumer Holdings. Notably, Peyush Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Lenskart, also participated in this round.

In December 2023, the startup had concluded its pre-Series A funding round, securing a total of $2.75 million (approximately Rs 23 crore).

The funds acquired will be utilized to broaden its on-demand service, allowing customers to try products at home, expanding to 40 cities. Additionally, the investment will enhance the brand’s research and development (R&D) capabilities.

The company plans to establish 25 to 30 company-owned experience centres within the upcoming 12 months.
