Healthify Merges with Berry Street for Enhanced Nutrition Care

Bengaluru-based healthtech startup Healthify has announced a merger with the US nutrition care firm Berry Street through an all-stock agreement. This merger will integrate Healthify’s AI-driven health platform with the insurance-supported clinical care network offered by Berry Street in the United States.

The newly formed entity will continue to operate under the Healthify brand in India and other global markets, while retaining the Berry Street name within the US. Both Tushar Vashisht, founder and CEO of Healthify, and Noah Kotlove, founder and CEO of Berry Street, will take on the role of co-CEOs.

Integration of AI and Clinical Care Networks

Healthify’s AI platform, which includes the nutrition assistant Ria, will be combined with Berry Street’s comprehensive network of over 2,000 clinicians spread across all 50 states in the United States. Berry Street focuses on delivering virtual nutrition care through registered dietitians, and it also manages insurance, billing, and administrative functions.

Aiming for an AI-Powered Metabolic Health Platform

This merger is designed to establish an insurance-covered AI-enabled metabolic health platform in the US, with particular attention on managing health issues such as obesity and diabetes. Healthify has been broadening its presence in the US market and has recognised insurance coverage as a vital component for scaling its nutrition and health services effectively.

Founded in 2012, Healthify has secured approximately $150 million in funding from various investors, including Khosla Ventures, Blume Ventures, and Chiratae Ventures. The company has stated that the merged business will keep enhancing its AI capabilities and seek opportunities in new international markets.
