About SportVot and Its Innovative Approach
Established in 2019 by Sidhhant Agarwal, Shubhangi Gupta, and Yash Bhagwatkar, SportVot offers a comprehensive range of online services for streaming sports events and identifies sporting talent at the grassroots level in India. The startup has played a vital role in attracting investment to local sports associations, utilising cloud technology to revolutionise sports broadcasting.
Impressive Streaming Achievements
SportVot boasts having streamed over 500,000 matches across more than 30 countries, reaching an audience exceeding 100 million viewers, with significant traction in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.
Monetisation Strategy
The startup primarily generates revenue by charging tournament organisers and sports organisations for video production and streaming services. Additional revenue streams include pay-per-view, subscription models, and brand collaborations.
Addressing the Streaming Gap
SportVot highlights that nearly 99% of sports played globally remain unstreamed due to high production costs and limited technology access. The company is committed to closing this gap, making high-quality sports broadcasting available to leagues and organisers of various sizes.
