InCred Capital is enhancing its institutional equities division with the recent appointments of Abhinav Khanna as CEO of Capital Markets and Abhimanyu Kalra as managing director and co-head of equities. This strategic move is part of the company’s ambition to significantly increase its presence in India’s institutional equities sector over the next five years.

Key Appointments for Growth

The newly appointed leaders will play critical roles in driving the company’s vision, which includes boosting market share through investments in technology, enhancing execution infrastructure, and pursuing international expansion. According to a recent press release from InCred Capital, these efforts are aimed at propelling the company forward in the increasingly competitive market.

Experience and Expertise

Khanna has a rich background with over 25 years of experience across India, the UK, and the Middle East. His previous role was as managing director and chief business officer at ValueQuest Investment Advisors. Prior to that, he dedicated over a decade to Citigroup Global Markets, where he served as managing director and head of equities for India.

Kalra arrives with an impressive 23 years of experience in equity markets, including 18 years at Nomura, where he established strong relationships with both global and domestic asset managers.

InCred Capital has also initiated operations in the US with Arunava Das at the helm as CEO of InCred Capital USA. Previously, Das was CEO of JM Financial’s North America division and has held prominent roles at JPMorgan Chase and Edelweiss Capital.

Investing in Technology and Infrastructure

Alongside its leadership enhancements, InCred Capital is focused on investing in advanced technology and execution infrastructure across multiple areas, including order management, research distribution, institutional sales, trading, block execution, and algorithmic trading.

Client Services

This expanded platform is designed to serve a variety of institutional clients, such as mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, foreign portfolio investors, global long-only investors, and hedge funds.

Commitment to Capital Markets

Bhupinder Singh, founder and group CEO of InCred, stated that the organisation is making a substantial investment in Capital Markets. He remarked on the expanding and deepening nature of India’s markets, which are increasingly significant to global investors, coupled with the rapid growth of domestic institutional capital.
