Adiabatic Technologies Secures Rs 8.3 Crore in Seed Funding

Deep-tech energy startup Adiabatic Technologies has successfully raised Rs 8.3 crore in a seed funding round, co-led by Malpani Ventures and Avinya Ventures. The funding saw contributions from Appreciate Capital, DeVC, Operators Studio, and UPES Incubator. In November of the previous year, the company obtained Rs 1.1 crore during an angel funding round from Soonicorn Ventures and other investors.

Expansion Plans for Adiabatic Technologies

The newly acquired funds will be directed towards increasing manufacturing capacity to 100 MWh annually, promoting product development, enhancing the engineering team, and expanding the deployment of its battery systems across various sectors, including robotics and defence, as stated by Adiabatic in a press release.

About Adiabatic Technologies

Founded in 2022 by Darshan Meher, Adiabatic is focused on developing custom lithium-ion battery packs, smart chargers, and proprietary Battery Management Systems (BMS) tailored for OEMs in high-reliability industries. The firm claims to have deployed more than 20,000 battery systems across over 25 OEMs in sectors such as robotics, defence, drones, agricultural equipment, electric vehicles, and solar energy.

Innovative Battery Solutions

Adiabatic Technologies designs its battery systems in-house, encompassing aspects like cell selection, pack architecture, and thermal management, along with its proprietary Battery Management System. The products are engineered for applications that necessitate high discharge performance, rapid charging, intelligent battery management, and thermal safety.

Future Directions

The company plans to concentrate on specialised battery platforms for robotics, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial automation, unmanned aerial systems, and other applications where high reliability and performance are vital.
