Innovist Achieves Significant Growth in FY26

Innovist has reported a substantial increase in its operating revenue in FY26, nearly tripling its figures from the previous year. The company’s net profit saw an impressive rise of 87% during the same timeframe, reflecting its robust sales growth. However, increased investments in advertising, promotions, and sales commissions have contributed to higher overall expenditure.

As indicated in the consolidated financial statements sourced from the RoC, Innovist, which operates under Onesto Labs, generated revenue from operations amounting to Rs 685.7 crore in FY26, contrasting with Rs 246.7 crore recorded in FY25. The company focuses on the cosmetics and beauty products market and has manufacturing facilities located in India. It primarily sells its products through online marketplaces, its official website, and various third-party offline outlets.

During FY26, revenue derived from product sales served as the major contributor to operational earnings, reaching Rs 676.3 crore compared to Rs 239.1 crore in FY25. Additional operational revenue, encompassing shipping and scrap sales, climbed to Rs 9.4 crore over the last fiscal year.

Increased Expenditures on Customer Acquisition

The company’s expansion has led to heightened investments in customer acquisition and sales strategies. The costs associated with advertising and promotions constituted 40% of total expenses, surging more than threefold to Rs 262 crore in FY26, up from Rs 84.2 crore in FY25. Moreover, commissions paid to sole selling agents amounted to Rs 92 crore, rising from Rs 15 crore the previous year.

Rising Material and Employee Costs

The cost of materials consumed escalated to Rs 162 crore from Rs 79 crore, and employee benefit expenses also more than doubled, increasing to Rs 39 crore from Rs 19 crore. Consequently, Innovist’s total expenses soared to Rs 662 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 250 crore in FY25.

Despite these rising costs, the company reported a profit before tax of Rs 30.5 crore, contrasting with a loss before tax of Rs 55 lakh in FY25. The tax expense for the company surged to Rs 8.9 crore in FY26, which includes a deferred tax expense of Rs 7.8 crore. Therefore, Innovist’s net profit reached Rs 21.5 crore during the fiscal year.

In FY26, the company’s total current assets amounted to Rs 303 crore, which includes cash and bank balances of Rs 81 crore. The financial results indicate that the business has expanded its sales footprint while maintaining profitability. Nonetheless, advertising and promotional spending alone represented approximately 38% of operational revenue, marking the effectiveness of sales and marketing investments as a crucial metric to monitor. As Innovist continues to grow, its capability to uphold revenue expansion while enhancing the efficiency of customer acquisition and distribution costs will be vital to its sustained profitability.
