Founded in 2022 by Mohit Bedi, Anup Agrawal, and Siddharth Mehta, Kiwi has made strides in the credit-on-UPI sector. The startup is allied with several banks, including AU Small Finance Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, and Punjab National Bank. To date, Kiwi has successfully issued over 2 lakh credit cards through its platform in collaboration with these lenders.

In recent weeks, Kiwi appointed Sumeet Basrani as its new Chief Business Officer, further reinforcing the company’s leadership. Overall, Kiwi has raised an impressive total of $43 million so far, including a $24 million Series B round in 2025, which was spearheaded by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India.
