Lavni Ventures Announces Fund II for Deep-Tech Investments
Lavni Ventures has launched Fund II, a deep-tech impact fund that focuses on early-stage investments. This fund has successfully achieved its target of Rs 200 crore (approx. $21 million) in committed capital, following the initial close in August 2025. The fund maintains a green-shoe option of Rs 100 crore.
Focus on Deep-Tech Solutions
Fund II builds upon the foundation set by the fully invested Fund I, with both funds grounded in the belief that Indian deep-tech founders can create globally scalable solutions in health and climate sectors, all while ensuring capital efficiency and delivering substantial returns.
Investment Strategy
With the target corpus committed, the firm is now focused on deployment. The aim is to identify and support exceptional founders in India who are committed to innovation and scaling their ventures for global impact.
Initial Investments
Fund II has already completed its first three investments:
- Padcare Labs, which specialises in recycling sanitary waste;
- Monitra Healthcare, known for developing remote cardiac monitoring devices;
- Vidcare, which focuses on portable at-home diagnostic tests.
These initiatives expand the existing track record of hands-on, long-term partnerships established through Fund I.
Investment Allocations
Fund II targets foundational technologies in health and climate. It plans to deploy Rs 2–6 crore ($210k – 630k) per opportunity at the Seed stage, while follow-on investments range from Rs 8–15 crore ($850k – 1.5 million) for Series A and beyond.
