Ankit Singh Leaves Pocket FM After Two Years

Ankit Singh, formerly the Assistant Vice President of Content at Pocket FM, has announced his exit from the company following a two-year tenure. In a post on LinkedIn, Singh shared that he transitioned from focusing on retention, revenue, and analytics to overseeing Pocket FM’s global content marketing initiatives. His team was responsible for managing content marketing across various international markets and incorporated generative AI in tasks related to content creation, brand campaigns, the Discover platform launch, and other projects.

Singh expressed that in the upcoming chapter, he would be collaborating with a close friend on a venture aimed at helping individuals in the midst of a job search.

This announcement coincides with Pocket FM’s decision to shut down Pocket TV, its microdrama division. The company stated that Pocket TV was initiated as a beta experiment and reaffirmed its commitment to its primary audio services and international growth in anticipation of a possible IPO.

Singh’s resignation occurs amidst a wave of senior leadership departures at Pocket FM in recent months. Just last month, Chief Financial Officer Anurag Sharma resigned after nearly three years at the firm to explore entrepreneurial ventures. Similarly, Senior Vice President Mayank Sancheti also stepped down from his position that same month.

Furthermore, Pocket FM has initiated discussions to relocate its holding company back to India via a reverse flip as it prepares for a public listing in the nation.
