MakeMyTrip Financial Results for Q3 FY26
MakeMyTrip, a major player in online travel booking, has disclosed its financial performance for the third quarter of the current fiscal year, concluding on December 31, 2026. The profit of the company saw a sharp decline of 74% during this period.
Revenue Insights
MakeMyTrip’s operating revenue reached $295.7 million in Q3 FY26, showing an 11% increase from $267 million in Q3 FY25, according to its financial documents submitted to NASDAQ. The contribution from hotels and packages accounted for 54% of the total revenue, rising by 9.5% to $191 million in Q3 FY26, up from $147 million in the same quarter last year. Air ticketing made up 20% of the revenue, generating $60 million, while bus ticketing brought in $37 million for the period.
Financial Overview for the Nine-Month Period
During the nine-month period, MakeMyTrip’s revenue increased by 8%, amounting to $794 million compared to $733 million the previous year.
Expense Analysis
The total expenses for MakeMyTrip escalated by 18% to $289 million in Q3 FY26 from $244 million in Q3 FY25. Service costs were significant, contributing 30% of the total expenses, which increased by 14% to $88 million in Q3 FY26. Other major expenses included finance costs, personnel expenses, and advertising.
Profit and Operational Costs
As expenses climbed faster than revenue, MakeMyTrip experienced a profit drop of 74%, resulting in $7 million for Q3 FY26 compared to $27 million in Q3 FY25. The company indicated that it spent Rs 0.98 to generate one rupee of operating revenue during the last quarter.
