MakeO Raises Rs 90 Crore to Expand Dental Technology Business

Mumbai-based MakeO, the parent company of the clear aligner brand Toothsi, has secured Rs 90 crore ($9.5 million) in a funding round driven by Singularity AMC. The round also saw participation from DSP family office, Genesis, and Unispace Ventures. The newly acquired funds are intended to enhance MakeO’s dental technology sector across India and Southeast Asia.

Recent Developments

This funding comes in the wake of MakeO announcing its intent to acquire Singapore-based dental care startup Zenyum in February. The acquisition is strategised to broaden its footprint in Southeast Asian markets. Earlier, in 2025, MakeO acquired Apple Dental, which operates 20 dental clinics in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, for Rs 10.98 crore using a combination of cash and stock.

Strategic Growth through Acquisitions

Following these acquisitions, MakeO has developed a network of approximately 1,100 partner dentists across ten countries. Additionally, the company runs over 60 offline clinical centres and has provided services to more than 4 lakh consumers, according to company reports.

Production and Distribution

MakeO functions an aligner planning and manufacturing facility located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), boasting an annual output exceeding one million aligners. The products reach dentists and customers in over 150 cities across India, and the company also exports to more than ten countries via the Toothsi and Zenyum networks.

Company History

Founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain, and Anirudh Kal, MakeO originally introduced Toothsi as its flagship clear aligner brand. In September 2022, it unified Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella, providing dental, skin, and hair treatments through an integrated platform.

Financial Background

Prior to this latest funding round, MakeO has raised over $100 million from various investors, including Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset, and Paramark Ventures. In June 2025, it procured Rs 100 crore from its existing investors. Furthermore, in January 2024, the company secured $16 million led by 360 ONE Asset and Ashish Kacholia’s investment office.

Revenue Growth Targets

MakeO has reported that its combined business has surpassed Rs 500 crore in revenue and reached EBITDA profitability earlier in 2026. The company aspires to double its revenue within the upcoming two to three years.
