Healthcare Expansion with MedySeva’s Funding
Healthcare startup MedySeva has secured Rs 4 crore in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures. The new capital will facilitate the expansion of phygital healthcare clinics in tier-II and tier-III cities, enhance its telemedicine services, improve its digital infrastructure, broaden patient outreach, and establish robust operational and clinical support teams.
Established in 2022 by Dr. Vishesh Kasliwal, MedySeva offers both teleconsultation and in-person doctor services through a hybrid healthcare model that targets rural and semi-urban areas. The company effectively links patients with doctors across a variety of specialities via a central telemedicine platform complemented by physical clinics.
MedySeva reports having conducted 100,000 consultations in the past year, achieving a 60% repeat-patient rate. The organisation aims to double its consultations to 200,000 annually within the next 18 months. It has initiated partnerships with medical colleges to establish satellite clinics and has recruited doctors from ten different medical fields. The brand is also collaborating with pharmacies and healthcare providers to create a local care network.
Looking ahead, MedySeva plans to launch over 500 phygital healthcare centres across India in the next 18 to 24 months and intends to expand its presence into five new states through institutional and state-level partnerships. MedySeva faces competition from primary healthcare and telemedicine companies like Practo, Medibuddy, Clinikk, HealthPlix, CureBay, and eSanjeevani in enhancing access to healthcare in rural and semi-urban regions.
