Metasports Interactive Secures Funding for User Acquisition

Metasports Interactive, a prominent name in mobile gaming, has successfully acquired $20 million in user acquisition funding from Metica, a growth financing firm based in London. This investment will be directed towards scaling marketing efforts and user acquisition for Hitwicket, their multiplayer cricket game, as well as supporting the next phase of their international expansion.

Growth of Hitwicket

Founded by Kashyap Reddy and Keerti Singh, Metasports Interactive has reported that Hitwicket has attracted a community of over 18 million players across 109 countries since its launch. This impressive growth demonstrates the game’s global appeal.

Enhancing Revenue and Economics

In addition to the funding, Metica will supply its technology platform to enhance in-game revenue performance and fortify unit economics. The company aims for a nearly 8x growth in the upcoming 18 months by expanding into key global markets, harnessing AI-led targeting, and advancing product development.

Previous Investments

Prior to this funding, Metasports raised $8 million from Prime Venture Partners and Horizon Ventures. Notably, the startup also has the backing of renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.
