Moglix Appoints Amit Kumar as Managing Director
B2B industrial commerce and deeptech platform Moglix has made a significant leadership change by appointing Amit Kumar as managing director and chief business officer. This appointment is expected to enhance the company’s potential in emerging business segments and new opportunity areas.
Kumar brings with him a rich experience spanning over two decades in business leadership, management consulting, and enterprise transformation. His most recent role was as group CEO and executive director at Symphony, where he was instrumental in driving overall P&L growth, restructured the supply chain, and spearheaded extensive digital adoption within the organization across a period of nearly five years.
Prior to his tenure at Symphony, Kumar held prominent positions at KPMG India, EY, and PwC. His expertise covers a variety of sectors such as consumer durables, automotive, chemicals, steel, FMCG, and diversified industrials. He has provided valuable guidance to enterprises on improving operations, procurement, manufacturing, and business transformation.
This appointment marks the second significant addition to Moglix’s leadership team in 2026. Earlier this year, in March, Animesh Srivastava was appointed as chief technology officer (CTO), signalling the company’s commitment to strengthening its management team.
Founded in 2015 by Rahul Garg, Moglix provides an online platform dedicated to industrial and business supplies. Its offerings include electrical equipment, power tools, motors, and medical products, establishing a strong presence in the market. To date, the company has successfully raised approximately $440 million, including a significant $120 million in a Series E funding round co-led by Falcon Edge Capital and Harvard Management Company (HMC) in 2021.
