Nazara Technologies Focuses on Core Gaming Segment

Nazara Technologies is concentrating on its core gaming segment by divesting from its esports and adtech operations, as reported by Moneycontrol. In a conversation with the publication, founder and CEO Nitish Mittersain discussed their aim to enhance their focus on gaming categories like PC and console gaming, which are viewed as vital areas for growth.

Nazara’s Esports Operations

The esports division of Nazara is primarily operated under NODWIN Gaming, which is the company’s esports and youth media subsidiary. This division manages gaming tournaments, creator networks, and events associated with eminent brands such as Freaks 4U Gaming, Trinity Gaming, Comic Con India, and Ninja Global.

Adtech Business Insights

On the advertising technology front, Nazara holds a majority interest in Datawrkz. This platform focuses on digital advertising, monetisation, and user acquisition, contributing to Nazara’s broader operational framework.

Recent Developments

Additionally, Nazara had previously decided against acquiring a minority stake in Moonshine Technology Private Limited, the company behind PokerBaazi. This decision followed the implementation of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which prohibited real money gaming platforms in India.

Strategic Centres of Excellence

According to Mittersain, Nazara has established centres of excellence in areas such as user acquisition, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), growth, and product. This initiative aims to create a unified operational framework that will bolster the company’s gaming intellectual properties and support impending acquisitions.

Nazara’s Financial Performance

Nazara’s operational revenue saw a decrease to Rs 398 crore in Q4 FY26, down from Rs 520 crore in Q4 FY25. For the complete fiscal year, however, the revenue from operations rose by 12.6%, reaching Rs 1,829 crore in FY26, while profits surged by 60.8% to Rs 82 crore.
