NODWIN Gaming Acquires StarLadder for $5.5 Million
NODWIN Gaming, a subsidiary of the prominent Indian gaming firm Nazara Technologies, has successfully acquired the Ukraine-based esports organiser StarLadder. This acquisition is valued at $5.5 million (Rs 46.75 crore), as confirmed by the companies on Friday.
Under the terms of the agreement, NODWIN will disburse $2 million in cash while also issuing equity shares worth $3.5 million from its Singapore-based parent entity. Roman Romanstov, the founder of StarLadder, will maintain his leadership role within the company and will become a shareholder in NODWIN Gaming. There is a possibility of additional earn-out payments, contingent upon performance targets, although the details of these have not been revealed.

The deal illustrates NODWIN’s proactive expansion approach in emerging markets. Over the last year, the company has broadened its reach by acquiring Comic Con India, influencer agency Trinity Gaming, and Germany’s Freaks 4U Gaming, among others. Currently valued at $410 million, NODWIN is keen on leading the mobile esports and youth entertainment sectors across regions such as South Asia, the Middle East, and Turkey.
With more than 20 years of experience, StarLadder has a proven track record in organising tournaments for major developers like Tencent, Krafton, and Riot Games. Its proprietary StarSeries events, which have spanned 38 seasons across several titles, have solidified its standing as a crucial participant in the competitive gaming landscape.
